Eponymous with creating carnage wherever they play, Rukus have been steadily building a strong following over the last few years in their hometown of Bristol, mainly via hype DJ sets across the city and at their own Tun Up and Full Fat events, as well as regular appearances at Glastonbury, Boomtown and more, but also with their finely crafted productions of modern, cutting edge dancehall infected bass music. Having been involved in the jungle scene during the 90s when it was heavily borrowing sounds/samples from the Caribbean, Rukus became curious about making more Jamaican centric music that borrowed back from early jungle and rave, so started rebuilding those golden era classics with a dancehall twist.

On "Ride Or Die" they link up Jamaican dancehall sweetheart and Equiknoxx mainstay Shanique Marie with Manchester based MC Trigga for a deep sub-loaded tribute to an anthemic rave classic. Stripped back but fully loaded, this one knocks hard and with some heavy remixes coming soon, Rukus are the ones to watch. Here we go....
